It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Yvonne Bequet. Yvonne
was a member of COA and an avid fossil collector. Here is the obituary from
the St. Petersburg Times of today.

a.. BEQUET, YVONNE (GORRIEZ), 93, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (Feb. 2,
2002) at Waterbury Hospital, Connecticut. She was born in Paris and came
here as a child. She was a member of the St. Petersburg Shell Club, the
Suncoast Conchologists and the Southwest Florida Fossil Club. She attended
St. Jude Cathedral in St. Petersburg. Survivors include a son, George
Bequet, St. Petersburg; three daughters, Monique Shay, Woodbury, Conn.,
Marie-Claire Shay, Ridgefield, Conn., and Francoise Remond, France; 18
grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Munson-Lovetere Funeral Homes, Woodbury, Conn.
