Betharca: not found
zebra: sorry, I need a better Dictionary, now!
Lithophaga cruta: not found, no idea.
Spondylus: add two votes for 'varius', one for 'varians', one 1827, one
1829, one 1838! Not much help, I guess.
Isognomon acutirostris R. W. Dunker, 1848
Corbicula papyracea P. M. Heude, 1883
Cardiolucina semperiana: I have 1869
Nucula sulcata: I have Bronn, 1831
Parvicardium exiguum J. F. Gmelin, 1791
Sinezona confusa Rolán & Luque 1994
Varicorbula dissimilis: not found
Venerupis rhomboideus: I found a lot of them, but always related to
fisheries and legal issues (of course, author and date are never cited) so
it is likely to be a mistake.
Hope it helps, best regards,

Subject: More taxa for nomenclatural help
> GenBank listings seem prone to typos. Several new sequences are out,
including the following taxa about which I have questions:
> Betharca sp.: any plausible option besides an error for Bentharca? The
locality suggests deep water.

> In Latin, is zebra a noun or otherwise invariant? Sherborn lists zebrum
and zebrus with sic.

> Lithophaga cruta: Presumably a typo for curta. Several references cite
curta (Lischke, 1874), but Kleeman 1990 cited it as Lischke, 1874 non
Stoliczka, 1871. Is curta of the modern Japanese fauna a junior homonym
(possibly secondary?)
>
> Spondylus varius or varians Sowerby I, 1827 or 1829: 2 votes for varius, 3
for varians, one for 1827, three for 1829, Sherborn lists neither
