After sending my questions about authors and dates of publication (late
last night) I received extremely prompt help from the following:
Paul Monfils (1:15a.m.) Paul, it's time you should be in bed, Andrew
Grebneff, Alfonso Piņa, John Wolff, Art Weil (8:42a,m,- It's July 4th,
sleep in Art),Professor Dr. Michael Hollmann. I would like to thank them
all for their help in this "mysterious" realm of Identification. Some gave
me direct authors, dates and corrections for Okutani's misspellings, while
some gave me references which I would have never found on my own. To each
of them, a big "Thanks alot, guys".
Also, not to forget Dirk Stratmann's suggestion to get the Higo &
Callomon Catalogue and bibliography of the Marine Shell-Bearing Mollusca,
1999. As I live in Northern California, where there is a lack of Shell
reference materials, I have yet to find the publication in my local
bookstore. But, thanks anyway, Dirk.
This Conch-L group is better than any other reference sources.
