Laura, Cypraea are fine just the way God(or evolution whatever your beliefs
are) designed them. the application of anything will possibly damage the
delicate gloss. I find the best way to keep the cypraeas glossy is to caress
them frequently , in the case of a guttata that's easy. Mark James Bethke
