Hi, Cecil!

I have had a look at those Japanese species.
Here is my opinion as to their identity:

1. The oyster appears to be Ostrea
circumpicta Pilsbry, 1904. This species is
moderately common here on Jeju Island, Korea.

2. The vermetid appears to be Serpulorbis
imbricatus (Dunker, 1860). This species is
usually loosely coiled, and not irregularly
twisted, as is the case with S. medusae and
S. xenorphorus. S. imbricatus is quite
common here.

3. As for the chiton, I have no idea as to
its identity. No doubt, there must be a
polyplacophora person out there who can ID
this little baby.

I hope that this is helpful. All the best
from Korea!

Malacologically yours,
Ron Noseworthy
