in archaeology; while Mesoamerica is not even remotely close to Israel,
it's always interesting to note early artifacts and technologies.  I am
currently working on an ancient Peruvian exhibition that highlights
cultures that definitely utilized shells for  jewelery, and as
indicators (in numerous forms) of status and authority (i.e. grinding up
spondylus princeps and spreading it on the ground).  Thank you again.
