Dear colleagues and friends
It is my pleasure to share with you the result of a 12-year project respect to
the inventory of the land and freshwater malacofauna from Brazil and neighbor
regions. The main result of this project if the publication of a catalogue.
The book is full color, mostly illustrated with type specimens, bears synthetic
information on each species (including synonymy) and a list of almost 3,000
bibliographic references that deals with the species. As the main concern is
the ecosystems (forests and hydrographic basins), the geographic limit is not
mandatory, the list of freshwater species, for example, includes practically
entire South America.
Additional information and possibility of ordering are available at the website:

I hope you enjoy the catalogue.
With my best wishes,
Luiz
