Kumusta JP,
Recently US Fish & Wildlife has been cracking down on shipments. Here in
Hawaii they have been using scare tactics to purchase a yearly permit for
$150 plus $55 per shipment. They are targeting commercial dealers & retail
shop owners. But they also strong-arm private collectors by with-holding
purely valid shipments. I know alot of HMS members here who has gone
through this. The agents don't even care if you get a $4 item from Ebay.

The 7 item limit is pure BULL. The only new ammendment is any species of 8
pieces or more is considered commercial. You & i know more about molluscan
species than the entire Federal dept combined. Problem is dealing with
agents who don't fully understand their limitations. For one thing they
believe anything green is illegal. Best to download their site to print
the correct forms at- http://www.fws.gov/le/ImpExp/faqs.htm. CHRIS:)
