Dr. E. Alison Kay, author of Hawaiian Marine Shells of 1979 has died in a
Hospice Facility on Oahu.

Her book is still of great use to many people in the Pacific due to its
coverage of the small shells not covered by most books and remains of use to
Malacologists. She also participated in Molusca, The Southern Syntlhesis of
1998.

The Hawaiian Malacological Society will miss her as will Bishop Museum and
other Hawaiian Groups.
