When a young 4 year old there were a number of the 'French' food type
in the Slew area north east of San Francisco.  They would climb up most
anything from saw grass to houses.  I've seen them float.

I suspect some are able to pressurize their shell to float.

My guess there will be a population explosion due to the storm.

Time will tell.
