Mike I agree with much of what you say regarding scuba divers being safer.
In the interest of brevity I did not explain, the time when my wife did
their "fishing' was in the 1935-19 40 time frame and they were surface
diving.  Tnx for the dissetation.

Up until recently, I have been actively diving since 1963 in Guam, lower
Florida and Keys and Puerto Rico with a dip or two in Vietnam and the
Philippine Is.
