I am not a certified interpreter but what I read is:
"Ab.c. Spondylus spinosus. Die stachlichte Lazarusklappe des rothen Meeres.
Martini Conchyl. Th. 7. tab.44 Fig. 460.
Ist pfirschichblüthfarb, und hat große, breite, hohlziegelförmige, weiße
Stacheln und einen gekerbten, äußeren Rand mit einer purpurrothen
Einfassung."
which in my understanding translates to something like:
"Image c. Spondylus spinosus. The spiny Lazarus valve of the red sea.
Martini Conchyl. Th. 7. tab.44 Fig. 460.
Has the color of peach flowers and big, wide, hollow tile shaped, white
spines and grooved/notched outer edge with a purple-red fringe."
I could not locate any pictures/images in that volume so I cannot
comment on the "Ab.c.". I assume that the work Schreibers refers to is:
Friedrich Heinrich Wilhelm Martini, 1784. Neues systematisches
Conchylien-Cabinet, vol.7, pt.1, pp.1-28.
