Remember that forma names are not valid. Also that is a "subspecies"
is genuinely different from the "nominal" form, then the "subspecies"
should be a species... and if the difference is insufficient, the
subspecific name should be a synonym.

Has anyone actually revised the genus, using cladistic and molecular
methods? I'm sure that most of the species-level taxa are synonyms,
and that there vare probably only about 5 species at most. More
synonyms keep on being added...
