Dear friends, there is a dark shell I often collect in eastern
Mediterranean, rather different from other local Pollias, and always
proposed on lists as a dark form of scacchiana. I'm not so sure it's
true. Do you know some reasons to follow this opinion?

A comparative file showing the four groups is available here:
http://www.idscaro.net/sci/04_med/class/fam3/species/pollias.htm
Any idea?
If I had to give a taxon to this last dark shell, it would be dorbignyi,
for its white band. Right or wrong?

Thank you for any help

Olivier Caro
