I am preparing papers on "books" being advertised that have misleading
mollusk titles. These are not reprints but compilations and are not to be
confused with previously published works that are reprinted. Free
availability of the papers will be announced as soon as they are finished.

The purpose of this posting is to request information from any who have
purchased any of the many molluscan publications that are now available in
POD (print-on-demand) reprints. Some are excellent, some are usable, some
are not usable as they lack plates or other parts, and others are not what
they are stated to be. Often one volume of a multi-volume set will be
offered with no indication as to which volume is being offered.

Any experiences you may have had with reprinted works, good or bad, would be
appreciated. Please furnish title, author and publisher.

Please reply off server to me at [log in to unmask]

Thank you for your help with this informal survey. I hope to make more
information available about some of these reprints.
