Aydin, Rich, and Scot,

Re: National Capital Shell Club: as a graduate student (U Miami), I was a recipient of one their student scholarships, I believe in 1989.

Thanks to all involved (many are still around, albeit in different parts of the country), and please consider the educational mission of shells clubs if and when you decide to establish the new group.

Kind regards

I belonged to National Capital Shell Club in the late 60's and early 70's until I left the East Coast (pretty much permanently.) We used to meet at the Natural History Museum. I was quite young then and my Mom would run me down in the beginning until she trusted me to take the bus from Maryland. All fine, until one night I took the wrong bus and wound up is SE DC...not such a good neighborhood for a young caucasian boy! I still have many of the shells won at auction then and boy, were the prices different than today! Please let the list know if a new club or facebook page is revived for this. (or email me privately).

Thanks,

Scot Lewis
