Bobby,
Like I said, I finally "bit the bullet" and bought a good machine. I had a
little Canon BJC 210 that worked great, except that it wasn't powerful (or
expensive?) enough to
handle scanned items. It worked great with my EZ photo, though.
I learned a lot setting up, trying, cussing, taking down and returning
scanners. The funniest fiasco was one salesman trying to sell me the
display model that came with NOTHING ELSE. I said "You don't have the CD?"
He said "No, but I can make you a REALLY good deal on this display model."
Well, without even a cord or cd, I figured I'd likely have problems.
I have thought seriously about writing down my scanner experiences. They
are a hoot NOW. Let me know if you'd like to hear more.
My new Canon (bigger and a whole lot more expensive-but with a rebate) can
print, scan, copy, fax and everything but cook supper! However, we don't
agree on envelopes. It likes to print in the portrait mode, instead of
landscape, which means I have to hand feed the envelopes long way!
The first day I tried to scan something, I was prepared for a fight! But I
put the paper to be scanned in, pushed the right buttons, and presto! It
worked like a charm. I like the copy feature too.
This isn't a commercial for Canon, but they do make good stuff-----so far.
Carol
