Last weekend the sixth annual Florida United Malacologists (FUM VI) meeting was conducted at Dickinson and Powell Halls, Florida Museum of Natural History (FLMNH), University of Florida, Gainesville.

Very ably orchestrated by John Slapcinsky, FLMNH Invertebrate Zoology Collections Manager, an unprecedented heterogeneity of malacological perspectives was featured, as is evident from the abstracts:

There was plenty of socializing and forging of potential new collaborations before, during and after the formal proceedings.
