one thing i would consider is size.....at one spot i go to (Castellow
Hammock) there are consistently some much larger specimens that i
would consider auricoma based on published accounts of that species
reaching a larger size, other 'normal' sized shells are plentiful
there too...   The fact that i go to many other similar places full of
snails that never get close to that size (all of which i presume are
provisoria) suggests there  could be something to the purported size
difference.
