Chiton collectors have these shell dreams also. As everyone knows, chitons normally have eight plates with an uncommon occurance of seven and rarely six.
Bill Olds used to tell us of his dream in finding a nine plate chiton. But Laura would top his story with her re-occuring dreams of collecting that 'elusive' twenty-three plate chiton.  It hasn't happened yet!
