After I wrote an HSN article on a trip to Vanuatu, Dr. Richard C. Willan
of the Northern Territory Museum in Darwin, Australia sent me a copy of
his 1973 article: "Some New He4bridean Molluscs" published in Poirieria
(Publication of the Conchology Section, Aukland Institute & Museum 7(1)
pages 14 to 19.
 
He listed L. L. vulgaris (Link, 1807) as one of the species/subspecies
from Vanuatu.  The illustrations are quite large sketches of one valve.
