Hi Peter
It's an odostomiine pyramidellid (note the hyperstrophic protoconch,
which is NOT sinistral, and the columellar plait), probably a species
of Odostomia (ss or Folinella, perhaps). This group is in ahuge mess,
and most likely trying to ID it down to subgeneric level, much less
species, will be futile!
I collected another Odostomia species in Victoria & near Botany Bay,
and never was able to identify it. Abbott 1974 will be of no help,
unfortunately.
