Hi Linda,

I have been using "cotton-like" material which the sell in The Netherlands
for using in aquarium filters. I do not know if it is polyester, but it is
some kind of synthetic fibre. Anyway, I have been using it for over 20 years
to store big shells on in my cabinet. Mainly the non-glossy European shells.
I have not been able to dissolve them yet, or to be more serious I have not
seen any detoriation yet (luckily)

Cheers,

Pete
