Hi All,

Do any of you Conch-L'ers have specimens of either Astralium
plicatospinosum (Pilsbry, 1889) or Astralium confragosum
(Gould, 1848) with the operculum? I'm pretty sure I've seen
the shell the Coltro's call Astralium confragosum, and it may be
one of the species that Cernohorsky considered to be a variant
of A. rhodostomum. If it's what I think it is, it should have a
glossy white egg-shaped operculum. A. plicatospinosum is a
different matter, I have no idea what the operculum looks like,
but I'd like to find out. Can anyone help with this?

Many thanks,

Don
