Glass microscope slides work well too for smaller chitons. I wrap the
chiton/slide with pieces of old nylon stockings so the rubber bands
won't push into the surface of the chiton. Last year in Mexico, I found
a large chiton and I didn't have anything handy for mounting
it.....ended up using a plastic "Tums" container and it worked great!!
