I'm looking into lymnaeids. Servain 1881 lists four species in his
new genus Caenisiana, all from Martin, 1874. All are "Limnaea" from
France; two are listed as elsewhere in Europe as well. However,
Hubendick (1951) lists neither the species nor Martin in his lymnaeid
catalogue, and Kruglov and Starobogatov 1993b claim that the first
actual included species in Caenisiana was in Locard, 1893. This
suggests that the Martin names were unpublished MS names, but proving
that something does not exist is difficult. Does anyone know anything
more about these taxa?
L. caenisia
L. hydroriga
L. crymophila
L. crymaeca

Servain gives a description of the genus but only the localities for
the species, so the species names are nude in Servain.
