I have a number of 'Melo' like names in my collection -
Knowing what you have might help - either name gave little help to me as
well.

My collection is from Kwajalein.

Amoriinae Melonini Volute
Melongena corona Gmelin Conch
Melongeninae Melongena bipinosa phillppi
Melon Miter
micromelo guamensis Bubble

Foot note : This page is bilingual : English / Japanese

melo Macoma TELLINOIDEA(TELLINACEA) TELLINIDAE

Try this site in Japan. You can search by shape. It is a great aid.
 From other names,
Melo must be a tribute.

Do a Google search on dagema It seems to have religious or bird like
pendent.

Is this a bird looking Conch ?
