I fould a massive dieoff of mussels in a creek in Indiana. When I had
approached the creek, there was an enormous pig farm next to it. I was
impressed at how clean it was! Elementary, Watson. The farmer was bulldozing
the manure into the creek when things got too unpleasant. Alas, there were 3
federally listed mussels there and many more state listed... I'm afraid I
got him in some trouble. Never been back.
