Dear Harry, dear Carole,

as far as I know the atlas or the plates are not available in the web yet. I
will try to convince Francisco Welter-Schultes from animalbase to copy or
scan them, as this volume seems to be located at the Goettingen
Universitaetsbibliothek. Thanks for the complete bibliography!
Bernd

Dear Bernd and Carole,

Bernd's link, <
http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/bpt6k97592c>,
takes you to Tome Second (volume 2 of 2). Here is Tome Premier (volume 1 of
2):

The two title pages indicate "1853" as the date
of publication. That is not true for most of the
contents, Here is a full collation of the work in
question [d'Orbigny, A. 1841-1853. Mollusques.
Histoire Physique, Politique et Naturelle de
l'île de Cuba 1, 2, Atlas (all plates)] from
Malacolog 4.1.1 (Gary Rosenberg's W. Atlantic marine mollusk database)

d'Orbigny, A. 1841b. Mollusques. Histoire
Physique, Politique et Naturelle de l'île de Cuba
1: 1-240, pls. 1-10?. Arthus Bertrand, Paris.
[Stated date: -- --- 1853; true date: -- --- 1841.]
d'Orbigny, A. 1842a. Mollusques. Histoire
Physique, Politique et Naturelle de l'île de Cuba
1: 241-264. Arthus Bertrand, Paris. [Stated date:
-- --- 1853; true date: -- --- 1842.]
d'Orbigny, A. 1842b. Mollusques. Histoire
Physique, Politique et Naturelle de l'île de Cuba
2: 1-112, pls. 10-21?. Arthus Bertrand, Paris.
[Stated date: -- --- 1853; true date: -- --- 1842.]
d'Orbigny, A. 1844. Mollusques. Histoire
Physique, Politique et Naturelle de l'île de Cuba
2: 113-128. Arthus Bertrand, Paris. [Stated date:
-- --- 1853; true date: 1844.]
d'Orbigny, A. 1847. Mollusques. Histoire
Physique, Politique et Naturelle de l'île de Cuba
2: 129-224, pls. 22-25?. Arthus Bertrand, Paris.
[Stated date: -- --- 1853; true date: pre May?]
d'Orbigny, A. 1853. Mollusques. Histoire
Physique, Politique et Naturelle de l'île de Cuba
2: [iv] + 225-380, pls. 26-28?. Arthus Bertrand, Paris.

Here's another version from Dick Petit:
d'Orbigny, A. (1841-53) Mollusques. In: R. Sagra,
Histoire physique, politique, et naturelle de
l'Ile de Cuba. 2 vols. and atlas. [Issued as of
1853 but published in parts earlier as follows:
French edition, 1, 1-208, pts. 1-14 (1841);
209-264, pts. 15-17 (1842); 2, 1-112, pts. 1-7
(1842); 113-380, pts. 8-24 (probably 1853); Atlas
(1842). Spanish edition title page dated 1845;
pp. 149 onward probably 1846 as imprinted.]

At Malacolog: <
http://www.malacolog.org/bibliography.php?mode=search&autstr=*%25Orbigny*&year=&yearend=&title=&titvol=&pubstr=&showspecies=y&submit=Search
 >, you can see what species (if any) were named
in each of these installments (as well as
d'Orbigny's other magnum opus, Voyage dans l'Amérique Méridionale ...)

Now, the problem: The Atlas.* I cannot find an
online digital version at Gallica or anywhere else.
