Dear Kevin,

I received the copy of your Spondylus paper in the mail yesterday. Thank
you! I wish everyone's work was so clear and concise. As I mentioned
before, my primary area of interest is in the Pectinidae, but your paper
was such a pleasure to read, I've already read it twice! I do have one
question for you, though. How much consideration should one give internal
features, i.e. hinge line, teeth, muscle scars, etc.? In the pectinidae,
hinge charateristics make a big difference, but other internal features
seem to vary too greatly to be useful for pinning down an identification.
Your thoughts??

Thank you, again.

Kindest regards,

Kim
