Hi Sher,
That sounds like Papustyla pulcherrima, a land snail from the New
Guinea area.  It's on the international endangered species list, and
it is now illegal to import them into the country, or to sell them in
the country.  I knew someone who had a huge shipment of shell jewelry
refused entrance into the country because one necklace had one of
these "emerald tree snails" hanging on it.
