About 8 weeks ago, someone here on the list (sorry, I can't remember who) suggested I use a tiny dustpan and a wide paintbrush to collect fine dry beach drift, in order to search it for micros. I tried that and it works just great: very easy and very efficient. The equipment is simple to find, compact and light to carry. When you are flying to your destination, those considerations are important.

Thanks!
