People who are interested in Caribbean Mollusca will hopefully be pleased to know that this year the theme of the 2017 annual issue of the journal Vita Malacologica (volume 16) will be “Mollusca from the Dutch Caribbean islands”.

The issue will include papers that focus on the marine mollusks and papers that focus on the terrestrial mollusks of the Dutch Caribbean islands, which are as follows: St Maarten, Saba, and St. Eustatius in the north, and Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao in the south.

For readers who are on a budget, it is worth noting that it is actually less expensive to subscribe to the journal than it is to buy a copy of the issue after it is published.

Disclosure: I am co-author of one large paper and sole author of a smaller paper, both of which will be included in this issue.
