Dear List,
A programmer's question: What exactly is variable XSTAGE in subroutine
PHENOL? According to the Jones & Kiniry book, XSTAGE is "non-integer
growth stage indicator ranging from zero to six." For example, during
ISTAGE 3, XSTAGE takes values 3.1, 3.2, 3.5, etc. But this relationship
breaks down in the millet model. During ISTAGE 4, XSTAGE takes values
higher than 5, up to 8.1:
XSTAGE = 5.0 + SUMDTT/PFLOWR
Thanks for any reply,
