Thanks for the definition of "Lessepsian."  I acquired a Strombus decorus
from the Mediterranean with that term on the data slip and I had no idea
what it meant.  I always meant to look it up or ask, and in fact, I did try
several dictionaries -- hard copy and on the Internet -- all to no avail.
So now I guess I need to add it to my glossary of shell terms.
