The correct name is Macrocypraea zebra dissimilis (Schilder,
1924).  Schilder originally described it as Cypraea (Cypraea) zebra
dissimilis. He did not erect the genus Macrocypraea until 1930 so the ()s
are appropriate. Its range is listed in the Prodrome as southeastern
Brazil. All of the specimens that I have seen were from that area.
