I'd like to recommend an interesting site to everyone with any interest
in the Marine Molluscs of SE Asia. Please find below, links and a
description of what it is all about: it's a good site!

The aim of the TMMP is to build strong foundations (scientific
infrastructure) in member countries through enhancement of research
capacity. Implementation involves yearly meetings bringing people
together for the purpose of exchange of research findings and subsequent
publication in English. The programme deals with the following fields of
marine sciences:
- Systematic studies of the species-rich, but poorly known, tropical
seas to better understand the origin, phylogenetic relationships and
geographical distribution of the taxa.
- Ecology with emphasis on the reproduction biology and changes
within populations, i.e., the mechanisms that sustain groups of organisms.
Aquaculture aiming at management plans, conservation, and
assistance to small-scale fishermen,
- Environmental studies relevant for aquaculture, sea-farming and
extension programmes.
- Basic information on mollusc resources and man, encompassing
post-harvesting, nutritive value, trade, and pharmacological properties
of molluscs.
Unfortunately, because of the connection problem so the homepage at
http://www.biology.au.dk/marine.eco/TMMP is still in the old version.
You can get the new one at http://welcome.to/TMMP. Thank you.
Thank you.
