Greetings Conchlanders, 4/19

It's very windy today so no snorkeling. At least the Whitbread Round The World
sailboats will get a fast start this afternoon here in Fort Lauderdale.
I recently took a tour of Bonnet House which is an old estate home near the
ocean.
The guide pointed to some small yellow shells and said they are pectins. I
always thought pectins were the big Zigzag Scallops.
What do you shellers in arms think of when pectins are mentioned? Is it a
particular
species or any member of Pectinidae?

Best regards,
Brad
