My thanks to those of you who took the time to ID my little bag of Guam
Cypraea. To use a phrase one of my young receptionists is partial to "You
are all the awesomest." (Lynn S. I know this is not a word)

The concensus is that the "extremely shrewd " (and by the way very fast) Paul
Monfils is right on with a beach worn C. caputserpentis for # 7.

I'm still having trouble differentiating C. carneola from shilderorum the # 1
& 6 are only 27&22mm their bands are more carnelian and their undersides are
white 1 has a much higher crown 14 mm. 6 is only10mm.

8. May not be identifiable. immature surely may not be as plump as C. mappa
4. C. crebraria looks right.
You are all great for helping me out.

Happy New Year!

I plan to toast in 2001 with a sip of Herradura Anjeo and reflections on the
beaches walked and those yet to walk.

Oh If any one finds my favorite left Timberland topsider on or around Grand
Caymans north beach please send it to me. It fell pray to a rogue wave.

Thanks again

Jim
