Dear Dan,

Coan, Scott, and Bernard (2000) distinguish the southern California (to
outer Baja) species Leporimetis obesa (Deshayes, 1855) from the Panamic L.
cognata (Pilsbry and Vanatta, 1902) by its larger size and yellow (not
white) interior.
