Befor there were mothballs, there was cedar. Cedar chests and cedar-lined
closets were popular for storing woolens. There are oils in the wood that the
trees no doubt make to dicourage hungry insects.

Are moths getting at to your shells? Those would be some seriously hungry and
confused critters!
