Dear Paul,

I just received a virus in an attachment with an e-mail sent via your
computer, "answering" a question I sent to Conch-L (asking for the
Spanish name for "veliger"). The message only said "Take a look
to the attachment." The attachment was a file with the name
"readme.txt.pif" (I earlier received a similar message from Jan
Alexander, but the file named "images.jpg", also a virus)

The virus in your computer (probably the same as that from Jan
Alexander, recognized in my computer by Norton antivirus
program) is W32.Badtrans.1331@mm

Do NOT send any e-mail messages to anyone until you have
eliminated the virus! It probably sent the virus to all addresses in
your address book, so use another computer that is virus-free to
send a warning message to every address.
