Dear Tom;
        1) Yoldia hyperborea (A. A. Gould, 1841, ex Loven, MS) - easily
confused with limatula, but more northerly: i really don't think
limatula gets up your way.
        2) Macoma cf balthica: this occurs both intertidally as well as in deep
water.  calcarea has a more triangular outline and is larger. That said,
i really couln't be certain without a close-up of the pallial sinus and
muscle scars, which are diagnostic for the genus.
        3-5) Chlamys islandica - an uncommon variant i have found a few of - no
doubt about it, however!

Any luck finding out who is fishing Placopecten from where? I need this
info quickly.

Can i possibly trade you for a couple of Aporrhais - i have only 2 lots
from your neck of the woods!
