The only readily accessible shell case that is also good looking is a
replica map case by Yield House P.O. Box 2525 Conway, NH 03818-2525
1-800-258-4720.  They sell both a 6 and a 12 drawer map case; 6 drawer is
24"hx27"wx17"d and the 12 drawer is the same except it is 43 1/2"h.  They
come in:
hardwood (cherry finish); 6 drawer=$329, 12 drawer=$599
 
or pine 6 drawer=$329, 12 drawer=$599
 
or you can get the pine in a kit form, 6 drawer=$239, 12 drawer=$399.
 
These prices may have changed.  I personally do not have one of there
cabinets, but a friend in town (a cone nut) has one and raves about it.
 
There is also another source for modern map cases (a forestry supply
house) which I do not have readily available but can dig up if you want.
