Hi -
I recently returned from the Carribean where I found 2 nice conch shells. I have
soaked them both in bleach which removed a lot stuff and made them much more
colorful - shades of pink. One of them has a lot of porus white material around the
top (spine?) and elsewhere, more than the other and is not as colorful. Is this just
the difference in the shell itself or can I remove this white stuff? if so how? or, is this
related to the age of the conch? or, did I bleach it too long? (both were bleached the
same)
Many! thanks!
Pat
