Regarding ID of the particular Tapes species involved, I currently live in
Korea.  I don't know well how to distinguish between closely related or
otherwise similar Veneridae, but will help in any way I can.  Why don't
you send me your pictures of the Tapes in question.  I could obtain,
preserve, and forward whatever are commonly sold for consumption in
