I proudly announce that it was my colleague, Dr. Jon Eiriksson, here at the
Institute of Earth Sciences, University of Iceland, who dredged the Arctica
islandica off the coast of Iceland that turned out to be the oldest animal
found alive so far.

If anyone is interested I have a pdf-file of a paper by Scourse an others
(2006) that describes the method used to analyse the shells, determine their
age etc.
