What if shell clubs could be perceived as educational forums that help
members to  appreciate both conservation and scientific collecting?

OUR CLUB PROGRAMS ARE ALWAYS EDUCATIONAL!   OUR MAIN GOAL IS TO EDUCATE.

What if shell club programs could be planned with those two goals in mind?
ABSOLUTELY

What if their mission could be both to attract new collectors and to create
new levels of sensitivity to responsible collecting?

OUR ANNUAL SHELL SHOW ATTRACTS MANY NEW COLLECTORS WE USUALLY GAIN ABOUT A
DOZEN NEW MEMBERS AND WE MENTOR THEM ON THE PROPER SHELL COLLECTING
PROCEDURES ETC.

AT OUR SHELL SHOW WE HAND OUT FLYERS STATING OUR PURPOSE AND THAT WE ARE
INTERESTED IN CONSERVING.

We lead Shelling trips to the Bahamas....and our first talk to our guests
is:   DO NOT OVERCOLLECT...DO NOT TAKE STARFISH, CORAL, SEA FANS, ETC.   We
will make you put them back!
