Peggy

Your underwater pictures are fantastic and sharp - which camera and strobe do you use?

I only use compact cameras underwater since I must look for shells and can't carry bulky equipment.
My pictures look good, but are F++, not Gem....

By the way, if anyone is diving in Fiji and find a floating Sony DSC-N1, it is mine - hahaha! My
clumsy brother lost it...

Marcus

You can also get a version that mitigates vibration. My hand shakes sometimes and my pics always
come out sharp!

G'day,
I agree with Marcus, the Nikon Coolpix are a great little camera to use for U/W & general shell
photography. Great close up macro options, easy to use & carry. U/W housing is small & compact and
generally easy to assemble/ use.

I've had good success in using this camera in feild collecting work for Notocypraea (small endemic
cowrie species 15-35mm). Great for taking insitu photo's in crevices, under gutters etc.
Image quality is more than acceptable!
