It seems I chipped a shell (no feathers to ruffle) with my
comments and warnings.

My local newspaper for the last two days has been putting out
headlines on the gangs and drug issue that just came into the area.
Always some, but now the volume is large and serious.

We are all ignorant, (not trained), on so many subjects.
Our lives are a school. All of us have different schools.

As for the beaches, LA has a night crew that cleans up from the
day before. Many public beaches do. One must be careful when
on more secluded beaches and reefs as they have not been
cared for and may contain unwanted treasures. [ TV show verified ]

Parks are a mess and require constant cleaning - I know both the
county commissioner (our area) and the Sheriff as personal friends.
They comment on the demographics changing depending on how the park
is conditioned and time of day.

I can imagine that moms and dads don't want to take out the kids
into an environment that is messy or poses danger.
So microscopes and collections transformed into video games and then
computer
games.

For those who took offense, none intended nor implied.
